Ingredients: |

A.
Cake mixture: (recipe
for one layer of cake) |

3 eggs |

150 g of butter |

150 g of sugar |
|
300 g of
all
purpose
flour |

120 ml of milk |
|
1 teaspoon of
vanilla essence
(optional) |

teaspoon of
baking powder |
|
B. Filling: |
|
1
can of sweetened
condensed milk |
|
1
can of milk
(use the can from the condensed milk to
measure the milk) |
|
1 egg yolk |
|
2
tablespoons of corn starch |
|
1 can of sliced
pineapple in syrup |
|
C. Topping: |
|
Recipe 1:
(whipped cream) |
|
500 ml
of whipped cream |
|
4-6
tablespoons of sugar |
|
1 package of
coconut flakes |
|
Recipe 2:
(icing) |
|
2 egg whites |
|
250 g of icing
sugar |
|
1 table spoon of
lemon juice |
|
Preparation: |
|
A.
Cake mixture: (recipe
for a layer of cake) |
|
1. Beat the egg
whites until stiff and save it for later.
|
|
2. Beat
the butter,
the egg yolks and the sugar until it
forms a cream. |
|
3. Add the flour,
the milk, the
vanille and beat well. |
|
4. Add the stiff
egg whites and beat well. |
|
5. Add the baking
powder and mix well. |
|
6. Put the cake
mixture in a mould
previously
greased with butter
and dusted with
wheat flour. |
|
7. Bake the cake in
preheated oven (350 F) for 30-45 minutes
or until golden brown and done.
|
|
8. Let the cake to
cool down completely before removing it
from the mold. |
|
B. Filling: |
|
1. Put all the
ingredients for the
cream in a pan and mix well.
|
|
2. Let the mixture
cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes,
stirring it constantly until the mixture
loosens from the bottom of the pan and
it forms a cream. |
|
3.
Let the cream
cool down for 5 minutes stirring it
constantly. |
|
C. Filling the
cake: |
|
1. Put the first
layer of cake on a plate and wet it with
the pineapple syrup. |
|
2.
Spread the cream over
the first layer of cake.
|
|
3.
Cut the pineapple into small pieces and
spread it over the
cream. |
|
4. Put the second
layer of cake and wet it with the
pineapple syrup. |
|
5.
Spread the cream over
the second layer of cake.
|
|
6.
Spread the pineapple
pieces over the layer of cream. |
|
7. Wet the third
layer of cake (but only the side that
will touch the cream filling) and put it
over the cream. |
|
D. Icing the
cake: |
|
1.
Recipe 1: Whip
the whipped cream with sugar.
|
|
2.
Recipe 2: Beat the egg whites
until stiff. Add the sugar and the lemon
juice and mix well. |
|
3.
With a spatula, spread
the icing over the cake.
|
|
4.
Decorate the side of
cake with an icing bag.
|
|
5.
Sprinkle the top of the cake with
coconut flakes. |
|
6.
Garnish the cake with
roses, cherries, dried fruits or
whatever you want to.
|
|
7.
Keep the cake in the
fridge until serving it.
